ISLAMABAD: A three member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry resumed hearing of the Balochistan missing persons case.
During Monday’s proceedings IGFC appeared before the apex court after he had been summoned during the last hearing.
As proceedings began, Chief Justice Chaudhry remarked that there was CCTV video which showed that three missing persons were picked up by an FC vehicle.
“There is evidence against the FC and we cannot keep our eyes closed,” Chief Justice said.
To this IGFC replied that there was information that the missing persons were abducted by individuals wearing FC uniforms. He also assured the court that all steps were being taken in the search and recovery of these three missing persons.
Chief Justice Chaudhry further said that the missing persons was the largest issue in Balochistan.
The Supreme Court will resume hearing of the case next week at its Quetta registry.
